Ferry Farm Livery Yard

  Welcome

Ferry Farm Livery Yard is a BHS Approved Livery Yard that is professionally run by two Equine Graduates with over 30 years of experience.

Boasting two floodlit all-weather arenas (including one 60m x 40m arena) and an all-weather lunge arena, as well as off road riding and with unaffiliated shows held on site throughout the summer, Ferry Farm offers a variety of riding experiences.

Help is on hand with schooling and exercising available as well as lessons, either from our resident instructors or a number of visiting instructors, with training clinics held throughout the year.

The horses benefit from all year turnout, routine Vet, Dentist and Farrier visits.

Equine Therapy Suite boasting a Solarium, Equissage, Laser and Magnetic Therapy is available on site.

For peace of mind, the yard has 24 hour on site supervision, a large secured and alarmed tack room and the added benefit of CCTV surveillance.

The level of service can be tailored to meet the individual needs of both horse and owner, thus making horse ownership easier, more convenient and less stressful. For more details on what services are offered, click here.

  About Us

Violet Hill BSc Equine Studies

She has competed at Hickstead and has travelled on the European jump circuit. Violet has trained in Equine Nutrition and attained a BSc Degree in Equine Studies from Writtle College.

She established Ferry Farm Livery Yard in 1999 and since then has turned it into a thriving livery yard. In 2001 she established Ferry Farm Riding Club which now holds several dates throughout the year.

Violet competes at show jumping, dressage and showing with her affilliated horse Black Velvet and is hoping to qualify for Olympia this year.

Graham regularly competes, both on his own horse Whispering Breeze and on Violet's horse, Whispering Jet. Both are currently focussing on the Dressage, although Whispering Breeze is also being trained with a view to both Show Jumping and Eventing.

As well as regularly competing, Graham has regular lessons with an International Dressage rider and a renowned Show Jump trainer.

Graham also runs "East Coast Equestrian", an online company supplying a range of equestrian products from supplements and bridles, to rugs and stable tools.
